Student Union Rathskellar Renovation

The interior renovation of the Student Union’s basement level transformed an underutilized space into a vibrant hub for campus life. Originally envisioned as a two-phase effort, the fast-tracked project was consolidated into a single accelerated schedule to ensure completion before students returned for the fall semester. The reimagined design introduces a dynamic mix of dining and ballroom event space, a theater, a pre-function lounge, and dedicated areas for video gaming, esports, and billiards. Significant structural and interior modifications including the removal of large brick archways, partitions, the existing bowling lanes, and extensive floor demolition were required to open up the space and support the new program.
