architecture+ is pleased to announce that the recently completed renovation of University at Albany Beverwyck & Schuyler Halls has received LEED Gold certification. The project included renovations to the residence halls on the first, second, and third floors and the transformation of the existing dining facilities on the lower level into the new home of the Campus Health, Counseling, and Wellness Center. LEED Gold was achieved through the use of new high performance windows; sustainable, local, and recycled finish materials; energy efficient LED light fixtures; water use reducing plumbing fixtures; energy efficient HVAC systems; enhanced commissioning; increased thermal comfort; and increased indoor air quality.
