Administration Building
Troy, New York
Hudson Valley Community College

architecture+ designed and provided construction administration services for this new, three-story 43,000 square foot building in the core of the college campus. The building houses all of the administrative offices, which were previously located off campus, as well as seven classrooms.

architecture+ coordinated and designed the finishes for all of the furniture, fixtures, and equipment on this project. We selected a warm earthy palette to contrast the sparse architectural elements of the building. Textured finishes and bamboo were used where visitors and occupants can best appreciate them; underfoot and underhand. Bold accent colors are used on structural elements to highlight the integration of the structural system and the building envelope.

The structure is steel framed with a masonry exterior. This project was completed on a fast-track schedule with construction cost of $7.4 million.
