architecture+ is currently working on a $20.8 million renovation of residence halls, food preparation, and dining areas on the Indian and State Quadrangles. We have recently completed the renovation of Tuscarora Residence Hall and are currently designing the renovation of Whitman Residence Hall. These projects include window and roof replacement, the complete rehabilitation of all residential floors and the basement, and the replacement of mechanical and electrical systems. The dining halls are undergoing a complete renovation. This project will be completed in 2010.
Previously, architecture+ designed over $20 million in residence hall renovations. Since 2001, we have designed the renovations for five of the downtown campus, three-story, residence halls (Steinmetz, Melville, Hamilton, Ten Broek, and Oneida Residence Halls). For all of these residence halls, work included upgrades for handicapped accessibility, interior finishes, windows, roofing, plumbing, heating, ventilation, telecommunications, and electrical and fire safety systems including the addition of sprinkler systems. Working in close conjunction with DASNY and the University at Albany, these student residence halls have been reconfigured and modernized to meet current student needs within tight time and budgetary constraints.
