Troy Savings Bank Music Hall

First Niagara Financial Group, Inc.

Troy, New York

This internationally acclaimed music hall is a 125 year old National Landmark building. Our $4.2 million restoration of the exterior and interior was a multifaceted undertaking. Projects included the complete restoration of the exterior, renovation of the executive offices, upgrades for ADA compliance and a new elevator.

We used specialized plaster ceiling stabilization techniques to restore the ceiling without any acoustic impact.  Our comprehensive restoration of the facade included stone cleaning, masonry cutting and repointing. We installed new sealant systems, restored windows and stained glass and replaced roofing. The restorations are certified by the Federal Park Service and acclaimed as an exemplary historic renovation project.

We were recently engaged to continue with planned interior renovations to the Music Hall in preparation of its 130th anniversary. Work will include new carpeting, reupholstering and refinishing original seating, floor refinishing, and painting -- all appropriate to the historic period of the building.

This magnificent structure, now preserved and protected for present and future generations to enjoy, has staged scenes from several popular movies, including Martin Scorsese's The Age of Innocence.
