Pitts of architecture+ completes study/lecture tour of European psychiatric facilities

Francis Murdock Pitts, AIA, president of architecture+, recently completed a three week tour of European psychiatric facilities. Pitts, who has planned and designed more psychiatric facilities than anyone in North America, presented lectures in Oslo, London, and Birmingham on patient safety, current trends in design, and the intersection between neuroscience research and evidence-based design. Countries visited include Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, England, Scotland, and Ireland.
