architecture+ was honored with a Merit Award from the Eastern New York Chapter of the American Institute of Architects. The award is in recognition of our design for the St. Thomas Forensic Psychiatric Hospital in Ontario, Canada. In addition to beauty and innovation, these awards are intended to recognize a well conceived, professional response to specific client problems. According to one juror, St. Thomas was selected "because of its programmatic clarity and sensitivity to the complex need of guests and staff of a mental health facility."
