Architecture Day at Myers Middle School
May 22, 2006
architecture+ co-sponsored Architecture Day for the Myers Future Stars, a class of middle school students from Myers Middle School in Albany. The day consisted of tours, workshops and a visit to the construction site of the new administration building at Hudson Valley Community College. Architecture Day was part of a pilot mentoring program offered by the Capital Leadership Class of 2006 and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Capital Region. Sixteen students from Myers Middle School were selected to participate in field trips exposing them to careers in Healthcare, Education, Civics and Law, Media, Architecture and Public Speaking. The site tour construction workshop was led by Wayne Williams of U.W. Marx and Arien Cartrette of architecture+. Our best wishes to the Myers Future Stars as they continue exploring different career fields and learning about leadership.
