Nancy Purcell, Business Administrator at architecture+, has been nominated for a Jefferson Award in recognition of her extraordinary volunteer service. Nancy is one of only twenty-seven people in the Capital District who have been nominated for this national award.
Nancy has been a volunteer for more than ten years at the Literacy Volunteers of Rensselaer County, serving as tutor trainer, board vice president and chair of the run committee. She also visits hospice patients with her certified pet therapy dog Bear, and volunteers at the Women's Employment Resource Center and Vanderheyden Hall.
The program is sponsored nationally by the American Institute for Public Service in Wilmington, Del., and locally by St. Peter's Health Care Services and the Times Union.
